MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 1/4 eliptic photos?

I'm now at the back end of my frog but never having worked on an early car before i'm struggling to work out where to bolt all my nice new shiny bits on the back end. My Moss catalogue is not much help, nor is my early Haynes. Does anyone have a photo or 2 to help?
Thanks.
John Collinson

John,

I have a frogeye but don't have any good pics of the rear . What particularly parts are you looking for details of fitting?.
David Billington

This any good, John?

Nick

. . . or do you need this sort of thing?

Nick

Just got back from the garage, and took this while I was underneath.

Wish I hadn't. I've spotted a leaking damper.

Nick

Nick - your car looks very tidy underneath. What's it painted with? Is there underseal on it or just paint?
Ant Allen

Only finished it just in time for Le Mans 07, so it's quite new, Ant.

Like you, I was in a big hurry the last two months, and I used just Hammerite (sprayed a couple of coats, then brushed a couple), which is good so far, but it's vulnerable on edges - particularly sharp seam downstands. I do rather regret not using something softer.
Nick

All great thanks - I was trying to work out where the radius arm went etc.

Picture options on this site are a bit medieval, however, I have jsut finished doing the rear suspension on my bugey. Pictures posted at the bottom of the following:

. . . . but at least we know what an M.G. TD looks like, Pete.

Yeah, I am not sure how that got listed where it did, but in the years I have been building the site and the car, I have not found a way to change the category.

What is funny is that people seem to find it despite the mis-categoried tittle! Also, you are the first to comment on this.

Hopefully all the pics are worth it to someone.

Daniel, you're just making me feel guilty...
Steve Collinson

Darren - yes please! How kind.

Don't suppose there are many lever arm shocks around your place.
