MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 123 ignition experience???
Does anyone have experience with 123 ignition on an MG midget 1275??? I am thinking about installing one http://www.123ignition.nl/ |

I use one. It works quite well. My biggest complaint is that you have to pull it out in order to change the advance curve... seems like it should have been easy enough to design it so that the switch could be accessed from under the cap. I have discovered that this unit is more immune to low voltage levels than the pertronix module. I had alternator problems and ran the battery so low that the guy behind me could not see my brake lights come on, but the ignition never skipped a beat. Really surprised me. I understand that there are now right-angle caps available for the RHD folks. David "not a distributor" Lieb |

I use it on a 1275 with a 40 DCOE Weber. It works very well, but it's a pain in the *** to change the curve! I have no clearence problems with the distributor cap, but my car is a LHD. |

Is there any difference in engine runnig, performance and mileage? |

I have one of these fitted to an A+ 998 mini that I currently own, it seems to work real nice, very simple bit of kit, but no real noticable performance gain over a set of well setup points. |
