Jon,

I seem to recall someone posting a link to a midget with BMW running gear earlier this year but a quick search of the archives hasn't found it. Maybe others will pitch in with the link or other useful info.

Sounds expenisve to me, you might want to add another nought & make it a S20000.
Good luck.

There is a very nice Frogeye with a BMW engine in the British V8 Newsletter, but it has a Ford rear axle. So far I haven't seen any Spridgets with an IRS, BMW or otherwise. I've been playing around with some designs using FWD hubcarriers and axles to keep the cost down with a diff sourced from the appropriate marque to match the axles if possible. Keeping the brakes small enough to work with our small wheels is part of the problem, most are a bit on the large size these days to fit with 13" wheels.

David, it was on flea-bay with BMW running gear including rear axle, I think it was complete BMW but on a spaceframe with a body dropped on top. It was wearing some outrages flared wing and still had the BMW M wheels on it. I recall all suspension was rose jointed also.

AFAIK

Carl,

We have an winner, that's the one.

From memory Ithink the rear axle had been 'narrowed' but may be wrong....

Thats UGLY! It's as subtle as kick in the crutch.
Graham P 1330 Frogeye

Ah yes, the famous engine with wheels on it ugly as sin (but fantastic engineering) Spridget.
