MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Bugeye (Frogeye) ground strap
Can someone please tell me where the ground (earth) strap attaches from/to on a Bugeye (Frogeye)? I don't see one on my car and am wondering where it attaches to the engine/body. Thanks.

If its the same as with my 1963 MK I midget it should run between the connection between the gearbox and engine to the place where the 2 long bolts secure the underside of you tranny mount. I myself did an extra one between the starter and the Battary. I didnt wanted all that current to run through the entire chassis.

If it goes from the "trans to slave cyl bolt" that will not get the electricity between the engine & the chassis since the slave cylinder is bolted to the tranny.

I doubled up on mine, fitted a strap across the engine mount as I couldn't see the original which was between the chassis and a gearbox bolt.
