Hi just fitteb an metro turbo carb to my 1973 1275 midget on a titan manifold it goes like hell at the top end but is very rough when cold on idle. have block the two pipe for the lean off system and added a breather pipe for crank case vent. has anyone done the same and will the needles or jet need changing

Metro Turbo spring and needle almost certainly wrong for normally aspirated operation...

I think the base equipment for a HIF is a BDL needle and a red spring, isn't it?

(unless we left the original needle in the Metro carb for 6 months, including a Le Mans trip, and wondered why it wouldn't go)

And a "fettle" from Peter Burgess :o)
