MG Midget and Sprite Technical - frogeye indicator switch

Hi,

I am refurbishing the dash on my IOW frog as the PO had all kinds of extra switches etc. which looked terrible. In the process he reused some of the switches.
I would like to reinstate the indicator switch and would like to know the terminal arrangement.
The switch I have identified has 6 terminals: 2 on the top and 2 on each side.
Are the connections as follows?:
Wire from flasher unit to one of the top terminals
Left hand flashers to one of the left hand terminals and same for right hand side.
If so, does it matter which terminal in each pair that I use?

Cant remember exact wiring but i had to bridge the live wire from one side to the other , so there is a live and feed to indicator on one side then the live loops over to the other side to make the other side work .So although you have 3 wires to connect you need to have 4 terminals on the switch with wires on . There you go clear as mud ..Roy

That makes sense, sort of.......
Any idea why there are so many other terminals?

Switch is used on a land rover ,bought mine as a Land rover part.Think its first position side lights and then second position headlights . so its use as a Indicator switch is just another use for it . Will look under my dash tommorow and try and see the exact wire positions for you ..Roy

Thanks Roy, that makes sense as well. I wasn't sure what else it could be used for.

Hi Andrew , assuming you have the same switch as me , then there should be 6 terminals on it . One on each corner and 2 on the raised platform , ignore those 2 raised terminals .
Green and Brown is the live put on L/H bottom corner and make a piggyback conection over to R/H bottom corner so that is live too. Then L/H top conection is Green Red and R/H top conection is Green White . If putting the switch left it flashes right then you need to swap last 2 conections side to side . Roy

Thanks Roy. Anyone else got anything different?
