MG Midget and Sprite Technical - fuel pump question

Hi ,
Discovered that with ignition on and engine not running ,
fuel pump ( old AUF 214)is still clickering once every minute .
Checked everywhere and pretty sure there is no leak or suspect smell , even after an half hour .
Is the pump losing pressure ?
Any experiences welcome , thanks

It's not unusual for this to happen. It's probably just losing a little pressure back past the non-return valve.

Not worth worrying about IMO.

found that strange as I'm sure this wasn't occuring before , and before a long journey tomorrow (600 miles to France) , wanted to be sure .
