MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Grooved brake discs.

There's a company on ebay selling a pair of grooved brake discs for wire wheeled midgets and Sprites (item number 380257631892). I wondered if anyone has any experience of these dics, ie. are they better than standard and what pads should I use with them? I've been getting brake judder which I'm pretty sure is a warped disc, so I'm looking to replace the fronts anyway. All ideas welcome.

My previous set up was quality grooved discs, they never warped & didn't really fade, i just made a big brake set up myself for the hell of it.
Old discs are on the left.

i have grooved discs and 1144 pads (green stuff before) and it works fine

previous midget had normal discs and greenstuff was fine to

so both options are fine just stay away from the no name cheap chinees parts

Thanks for the input guys. Those cross drilled discs look neat Brad.
Onno. The discs are £59 the pair, so at that price I would hope they are not cheap rubbish, but I will contact the company to find out just what they are. As I mentioned, I have to replace them anyway so I think I'll go for it and I'll try the 1144 pads. I'll post the results when I do it, in the hope that it may be of use to others.
Thanks again.

Go with a big brand like EBC

The 1144's feel more constant then the greenstuff.
Max braking feels like the same
The 1144 feels a bit better from cold where the green stuff needed to get to temperature

Yes, I heard that about Green Stuff, so I think 1144 would be better. It's only a road car with a little extra poke via a 731 ish cam, HIF44 carb, tubular exhaust manifold and straight through silencer. Planning a Duplex chain with offset wheel this winter.
