MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Hartop to fit mk1 bugeye

All-right the dream would be to get my hands on a Ashley Mk1 hardtop as seen here on the first link but the later picture link don't seem as to bad of an option, now however will it fit a bug or not since it's a midget style top, if not what style tops fits a bug? Anyone might have one to sell me ;)

Your first link is to the Ashley Mk11 hardtop for the Frogeye (Mk1 Sprite)
Your second link is to the Ashley Mk1 hardtop for the Frogeye (Mk1 Sprite).
The third picture belongs to an Italian Frogeye owner who I believe has owned the car since new. As Tim's description says it was a special one off made for that car. The boot secrtion is opened to fill the tank.
As an asside, I believe that it is also the most Northerly travelled Mk1 Sprite having been driven to the edge of the Arctic circle by it's owner back in the 1960's

Motobuild seem to be offering all sorts of Ashley components though they don't seem to have copied the hardtop for the Mark 1. Perhaps they would if you ask nicely. Take a look at www.ashleygt.com

Hi Martin,

I think it's www.ashleygt.co.uk

I believe that they are planning to do one in the future.

All-right Gary, sorry for the confusion it's hard to keep all the "MK's" apart but it seems like you at least got it right.
I wasn't observant enough to read that the later pic. was a "one of" that's to bad, but I remember seeing similar ones on ebay some for MGB and some for Midget like this for example ebay number 180579189302 it looks so similar but I guess it's not.

I'll keep an eye on Motobuild but regarding that part, then I still wouldn't have an "original top" so I could might as well fabricate my own.
A longer rout to take, but cheaper and I guess more rewarding in the end.
