MG Midget and Sprite Technical - LCB

Has anyone seen these and are they any good?

Does not look bad though i am not sure about the joint between the front and aft primary.

Magic midget sells good ones and can make a set with a rc40 so then you know your fine in that department

Rather get a Maniflow if you can afford one.

Magic Midget supplies the Maniflow items at v good discounts... he doesn't sell nasty cheap stuff.

Thanks,

others also say the Maniflow one is the one to go for but it is a bit more expensive, although Magic Midget say it can be used with the standard exhaust system - any ideas on that?

Yes it can but to make full use of the benifits of an LCB you need an RC40 or other proven good flowing exhaust.

I run a Maniflow (1293) with a single (quite large) box mounted across the back - increases clearance to axle springs etc and gives a good sound but not as loud as some ! (good news)

Whole system is from Maniflow and it fitted very well.

I have the maniflow with the RC40 back box on the frogeye. The RC40 is on its way out after about four years, but that also includes four winters full of London salted roads.
I remember when it was first fitted. The new box gave a much lower rumble than the previous pretty standard system (although it had a stainless steel pipe). An unexpected bonus with the newer system was that it was much easier on the ears after a long journey.

I have just fitted a Maniflow manifold and RC40 system from Magic Midget today!. They are very helpful and the bits arrived very quickly and all went together well. You have to cut a bit of pipe off so the back box fits in the right place but they warned me of that. I think I have left it a bit long and might take a bit more off in future. I bought some Mikalor clamps from e-bay to give more ground clearance on their recommendation- let me know if you need any pictures to see how it looks. Anyone else got a picture of an RC40 box on the car to see how much tailpipe you leave on?

I left it all stick out
But then i do not have bumpers and like it as a bit of insurrance for my lucas reversing spot ;)

Magic Midget will be at Midget50 - and I'm sure he'll bring something!!!!!
