MG Midget and Sprite Technical - meaurement please?

anyone care to measure the distance between the crossmember and the chassis crossbrace? see pic below for reference...

CAPTAIN AWESOME

"the chassis crossbrace" - If this is the one that runs between the two chassis rails (and not the one the steering rack attaches to) then the distance is 32 9/16th's. I have just measured an MG midget I have with the engine out.
Neil (K series)

that sounds about right. appreciate you help!
CAPTAIN AWESOME

If you double-check this together with the dimension I gave you a little while ago for the distance between footwell bulkhead and the rear most suspension bracket you shouldn't be far wrong.

that was the plan. the more measurements to cross check the better.
CAPTAIN AWESOME

I remembered today to measure our 1500 shell for you dude

Just as a reference to compare with any other measurements.

The measurement you ask for above is 830mm

From the vertical of the footwells (forward most panel) to the vertical (rear most edge) of the radiator mount is 535mm

From the bulkhead vertical (at the centre of the car laterally) to the rear most edge of the slam panel (behind the main bonnet latch) is 1000mm

Hope that helps you align it along a few other planes too

hopefully i can get it one step closer to completion this weekend after a trip to the metal yard.
