MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Rear leaf springs

Hello,
I have a 1972 midget mainly used for fast road and some competition. Most of the preparation was done by the previous owner. The rear has a spax telescopic conversion.
I'm a bit concerned about the rear leaf springs, with the weight of the car on the wheel the springs are not in a smooth c shaped curve the are flex that much they are almost straight but are more like an s shape. Is this normal? The handling seem good and the feel ok.
Cheers

A Lomas.

Flat springs are Ok if you are seeking that lowered effect, however, once they have taken up an S shape, I fear they are past their best.

A little while ago, I looked into getting GOOD QUALITY rear springs re-made and have to say, to date, have supplied to many happy clients (inc for competition).

If you would like to know a little more, please feel free to get intouch.....

Mark.

Brad, do they look anything like this?

Be carefull to buy of the big suppliers at the moment because quality is crap.

Not financialy connected to Mark but have to say ive only heard good things about new springs he sells.

Not that bad, but when the weight is on the axle the springs look like a flattened McDonalds M
