My midget is 1978 and has done 64000 genuine miles (I think) but it has a Red Rocker cover which seems gagain genuine does any one know why ? |

I think some US models, possibly California spec, had a red rocker cover.

Rare testa-rocker upgrade. A

Late-model California cars had a blue cover, so-called "Federal" (and maybe Canada?) cars had red covers. Perhaps it's from a UK spitfire? Richard

Thanks Richard, I knew some of them did, just didn't know which. I think the Uk Spitfire had a silver cover, like the Midget.

you guys are all wrong!! Any time you paint an engine part red, it adds an extra 2-3 HP. Prop...Seriouly, I never lie.

ALL UK 1500 rocker boxes were silver.
