Very retarded ignition timing? |

Is it blowing water out of the expansion tank ? If so, the tube inside the expansion tank may be blocked with the residue that forms at the bottom of it. Like you, I replaced everything but did not look at the tank. It solved my problem. |

How do you bleed all the air from the coolant? You can't just fill up the expansion tank, BTW... I fill up from the top heater hose... A |

Luis, Is it possible to put the head gasket on the wrong way around and block some water passages? Charley |

on the 1275 that is doable to put on incorrectly and block some passages, IIRC or is that my truck...but all the above are good suggestions. prop |

Luis, check the timing, I had the same issue with overheating caused by retarded timing. Easiest check is - are the fumes going out of exhaust very hot - if yes, it is ignition timing. Stepan |

Did you get your cyl head planed/checked for cracks. Get a head check done. TK or similar. This is done while engine is running by taking water sample. It'll detect leakinggasket/cracked head/block. Good luck. |
