MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Speedometer differences

My disc braked mk2 Sprite (May '63) is fitted with a SN6135/00 1472TPM speedometer which is not it's original but reads very accurately. Or it did until it started reading about 150% of actual speed this evening.

I may just send this off to John Ostick however there are a number for sale on ebay that are 1472 TPM but reference SN6142/00.

Does anyone know what the difference between the SN6135 and SN6142 are?

Cheers

J.
