MG Midget and Sprite Technical - steering column shroud 1500

morning everyone
does anyone know what the threads are on the screws that hold the steering column shroud together - I'm actually getting that close to finishing the interior!

I can't find the shroud on any of the usual suppliers websites so can't look there. I've tried a few screws (I have one of the 4 screws, and it's close to -but not quite M4

I think they are a BA thread, probably 4BA

Note for archives

Well I did the 4ba and the 3ba but it’s neither of those

I had an mgoc order anyway (another story related to fitting mgf seats and clipping the fuel line with my drill) so added on there - you can see the thread difference, although I’m not convinced that the 3ba I bought is ‘right’ seems ok diameter (without a micrometer) but pitch is the same as 4ba which isn’t right

The one from MGOC is RMP214 if that means anything to anyone

Yes 4BA and 3BA shouldn't have the same pitch as the diameter and pitch of BA threads is calculated by formulae using the BA number as a power and rounded to 2 dp, it is a metric based system, likely the first UK metric thread.
