MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Steering wheel size

Does anyone have the correct size for the wire-spoked steering wheel fitted to the mk2 and early mk3 midgets?
(and does anyone have an example of this rocking horse poo they'd like to part with)
Paul Walbran

Just measured mine, Paul. Wheel from a 1966 MkIII....15 1/2 "....

Great. Thanks Dave. I thought it would be about there but needed to check as I've been asked to find a same size replacement on a car missing one.

What does it look like Paul?

Some on UK ebay. Expensive though.

How deep are your customer's pockets?

Thanks Anam. It is the wire spoke one, I will follow it up.

👍.

Paul. I found this too.

"1964-1967 Midget will fit any MGB through 1969. "

Hence maybe this wheel too?

Or this too, and cheaper.

OTOH, they're an inch too big aren't they?

Just for info...Midget wheels have the six spokes arranged in three pairs..
If you're looking for originality then 700 squids might be an expensive mistake

Richard Wooley sometimes has steering wheels for sale. I will have a look for his contact details.

Some of those 8-spoke wheels are more than likely MGB. You need to be careful, as some US models had a different diameter column.

Thanks everyone for all the leads and info. The ones with 3 wire clusters in horizontal positions are indeed MGB. Hence the extra inch.

Richard Wooley has just emailed, he has the horn push too do things are looking up.

In the UK but looks good enough to make an enquiry?
