MG MGA - Coupe Completed

I seem to have come to the end of re-restoring my 62 Coupe.

I've put pictures of the finished product up on
http://www.rhodo.citymax.com/page/page/1653190.htm

Now I just have to get it through the local smog check and onto a collector's licence plate!

It's been 15 years between drives in this one, and I'm looking forward to getting out and using it again.

Extra trivia points if anyone can identify the two cars behind it in the shot from the rear.

Bill,
Beautiful job! When I see the finished product, I am always impressed by the coupe's lines. It helps me feel better that I have a coupe and not one of those run of the mill roadsters. :)

Bill,

Your A is very nice.

The dark blue car with diagonal lights is a Jensen CV8. The other one with somw of the trim removed from the back is a Jensen Interceptor convertable, I think.

I used to have a Jensen GT.

Bill:

Beautiful job.

Do you have any coupe-specific tips for those of us still in the restoration process? I hope to redo my interior this spring/summmer.

Also, what size tires are you running?

Regards,
M.D.

Beautiful car Bill. Nice color, what is it? Maybe it's my monitor, but it doesn't look like one I'm familiar with.
Bill Young

Both cars behind the MGA are Jensen's. The brown one is an Intercepter and the Bue one is a CV8.

Turned out great Bill, now for the Derrington head--- Gary

The colour is Porsche Arena red.

The tires are very old Michelin ZX 165 - 15 (the spare is actually a Michelin X!) that I ran on the car in the 80s.

I have another set of Twincam wheels that are 5 1/2" and intend to fit some new 185 x 70s when I have time.

The engine is stock 3 main MGB except for a tube header that you need to bring the power output up to (and a tad beyond) the same engine in an MGB - the MGA exhaust is restrictive enough to rob some power.

I have several HRG heads kicking around, but this one will stay stock - if I want to 'play, I always have this one:

One background car is indeed a Jensen CV-8:

The other one is really hard to see so you didn't have much to go on.
