MG MGA - Crankshaft oil seal

Has anyone come up with a mod for the rear crankshaft oil seal?

Apparently.

I was told when collecting my new engine from Lawrenz last year that he had modified the rear with a teflon seal of some sort. Never looked as I just dropped the engine straight in - and it doesn't leak from the gearbox/engine joint at all.

Check the B BBS Archives. As I remember the early Bs had a similar problem and there are some solutions there.
