MG MGA - H.R.G. Crossflow Head

Anyone out there know of a source for parts for the Derrington H.R.G. crossflow head. An article I found on the web mentioned a "kit" that came with the heads when pruchased that included various gaskets, manifold studs, etc. I would like to find a gasket set. Plus, one of the rocker assembly studs is missing so I'd like to find a suitable repalcement for that too. Any ideas? If I can't find a gasket set/kit, does anyone know where I might find high-temp gasket material to make my own exhaust gaskets. So far, I can't find any of my local auto parts stores that carry high-temp gasket material. Thanks!

APT in Riverside Ca. has arp studs etc. for the head and exhaust manifold.

They are always a good choice for tech advice and may know where a suitable gasket set or material can be found.(David, Sharon or Phil)

For the exhaust side, just trim down a standard manifold gasket.

Robert- I think your best bet will be to find a small machine shop and see if they can make you a rocker stud, at least you have some to get the specs from. Maybe someone with a repro head can tell us if the rocker studs are the same, or if they just use a regular stud now. Gary

Robert - here is a page I have on these heads including original fitting instructions.

The rocker studs are special - they have a 'foot' on them, but you can just take a sample in to a machinist to have another one made.

The intake gaskets are easy to cut yourself.

Why would you want to make the exhaust gasket? Such a lot of trouble when all you need is a stock MGA exhaust gasket and some tin snips to cut out the bits you don't need - there are core plugs where the intakes would be, so you just remove what you don't want.
