MG MGA - Hydraulics Rebuild - any online guides?
Wrapping up the MGB clutch conversion and my carb rebuild is complete as well. All that's left is a rebuild of the hydraulics system ... are there any good online guides to this? -Rich |

Here's a quick course: http://chicagolandmgclub.com/photos/hydraulics02 The idea is to hone the cylinders to remove any pits and/or scratches. If they will hone out to a smooth buff finish you can install packing kits and they're good to go. If a cylinder has pitting that cannot be honed out, it needs to be sleeved or replaced. Slave cylinders are usually cheap enough to replace. master cylinder is too expensive to toss out, so should be sleeved if it is pitted. Barney |

That was helpful, but not exactly what I was looking for. Nevertheless, I figured it out and uploaded photos to my site at http://mgablog.com/archives/2005/07/hydraulics_rebu.html. |
