MG MGA - master cylinder painting

An article in the North American MGA Register discussed painting a new master cylinder prior to installation. I misplaced that article and find myself in the process of replacing a new master cylinder. has anyone had any experience with this issue. My old master cylinder was really rusted and distracted from under the hood appearance.

You can also use Rebuilder's Gray spray paint. Ends up looking like a new raw casting. Plastikote makes a version.
