MG MGA - MGA Clutch question

Hi Folks. I have a 1956 MGA roadster. I installed a rebuilt pressure plate, clutch disc and release bearing about one year ago. I have noticed that the clutch is starting to slip in 3rd and 4th gears sometimes. The clutch seems to grab just fine in first and second gears. Im gentle on clutches and cant understand why the clutch is slipping after so little use! Im wondering if there is any sort of adjustments at the master cylinder or elsewhere that could be causing this issue? There seems to be a small amount of free play at the clutch master cylinder pushrod, as there should be. Would slave cylinder pushrod length make a difference here?
I dont think oil has leaked onto or into the clutch, since I checked for oil leakage before installing the rebuilt clutch components. THe clutch components were rebuilt by a reputable rebuilder. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Any suggestions for potentially diagnosing the problem would also be useful. I really dont want to pull the engine unless I have to .....Thanks, Glenn
