You might find it easier to use this link
http://www.carsales.com.au/
and just add MG and A in the first two fields to get the Australia wide results.

Not sure what your dollar exchange rate is at the moment.

Over at Stoneleigh on Sunday a Mk II Coupe was sold by Sussex Classics (I think that was their name) for £19800. I thought that was a bit steep for a Coupe, even though it was in a good A1 condition.

Steve,

That Twin Cam coupe has been for sale for a long time and at that price it will still be on sale for a very long time to come.
Using the "Buy' rate for notes the price of AUD $63,995 is USD $55950, GBP 35,767, Euro 40,509.
It has a MGB gearbox with overdrive which might improve performance, but would have the MGA chassis cut away in places.

I'm not quite sure at that exchange rate of what we are supposed to be jealous - selling or buying?

Those prices seem not dissimilar to private UK asking prices, some a bit cheaper, some a bit more expensive.
