MG MGA - Proper sequence for a tune up

Presuming its with electric ignition.

New rotor and cap (as necessary)

New plugs (as necessary)

Set timing

Synchronize carbs

Set richness

Set idle

set valve lash

Is that correct?

I would set the valve clearances sometime before you set the carbs Tysen.
Then at least you know that the valves are opening fully, which must have a significant effect on the air flowing into the engine.
I would leave setting the timing and idle speed towards the end of your list.
