MG MGA - Radiator Hose Substitute
I need to replace my top radiator hose. I don't want to use a MGA hose. I want to use a hose intended for for a modern vehicle that is preshaped with the necessary right-angle bend from radiator to the head (and then cut off any excess material). Does anyone know of such a hose for a specific year, make, and model car that I can easily order from the parts store nitwit clerk? Thanks.

Arthur, don't know of any specific hose, but if the 'nitwit' behind the counter is helpful he'll let you look at the hoses in stock and match one up. I've done that on several occasions for hot rods or engine conversions.

Arthur, You might want to try Cool Flex: http://www.coolflex.com/cfm/welcome.cfm# They make a "universal" flex hose and their web site shows how to measure yours to determine the length needed. Their web site had a listing for Austin Healy but not MG. There are probably others like them out there. Regards, GTF
