MG MGA - Rear Fuel Line Routing?

I can't find an accurate illustration showing the routing and attachment points for the tank to pump part of the fuel line. The only pictire I have shows it attadhed to the outside of the frame rather than the more protected inside route. The only other information I have describes the line as attached to a damper bolt with a clip. This leads me to think that the outside chassis routing Isn't correct. A photo of a correctly routed and attached line would be most helpful.

Doug

I have just looked at mine which I believe is to the original specification. The pipe follows the arch of the chassis on the outside. It is attached to the rearward of the two damper bolts (on the outside of the chassis) by a clip. It then curves inwards towards the fuel pump. But there my originality ends as I have a facet pump.

Hope this helps

Thanks Steve,
You're right, just got back from visiting a local restoration expert who just happened to have a gorgeous 1600 up on the stands.
thanks,

Hi Doug. I replaced all the steel fuel line with copper ones, and have never regretted the decision. It is easy to make your own replacement fuel line from bulk copper tubing. The flare fittings can be ussoldered from the old steel lines and reused. Cheers! GLenn
