All, If you have problems finding the words you're looking for using the search in the BBS, try using google (or alternative), enter the search term and "site:british-cars.net/mga-bbs"

For example, using Google, enter:
distributor advance retard adjustment site:british-cars.net/mga-bbs

You will get more hits. I think the BBS search looks for the "exact" words, where google will also look for alternative words; like for adjustment, it will also look for adjust, adjusted, adjusting, adjustable, etc.

Maybe this will help for carburetor - since we do have a couple of valid spellings that are frequently misspelled.
