Interesting that one of them had an E plate - making it a 1967 registration
Cam Cunningham

When cars were re-registered in the early sixties they didn't bother about the age related letter. My MGA was "B" reg for a while. So it may have been re-registered UK car or it may also have been a car that was imported back into the UK in 1967.

When I was in the RAF in Germany I came back on a visit to pick up my brand new car for export back to Germany. It was on a Q plate. Out in Germany it was on a BFG (British Forces Germany) plate. When I came back to the UK 2 years later I was given the latest current plate as if it was a new car.

In the first you-tube clip there is a MGA with a rounded front end. Was that a custom or a Kit that you could buy in the UK. ?

It's very well done.

Thanks

the car with the rounded front end as you put it is a all alloy body race car not a Kit or custom car it was made by Peel engineering in 1959 for Paul Fletcher and raced under the Fitzwilliam Team
