MG MGA - vinyl finishing strip for hood/top

I am working on installing a new top on my daughter's 1500 and I am missing the vinyl finishing strip to cover the header rail staples on the front of the hood/top. Moss will not sell the strip by itself. Anyone had to solve this problem in the past? Anyone have a vinyl finishing strip they could part with? Any tips or leads would be appreciated.

Known as "hidem banding" it should be available from any of the trim suppliers - like these in UK:
