MG MGA - wheel to drum to hub interface

Is it a good idea to put a light coating of "something" on the interface surfaces of the wheel brake drum and hub to preventing seizure from rust?

Thanks!
George G.

Never done anything and never suffered a problem during 45 years. I do though always tighten the screw to adjust brakes but then ease off when I fit wheels as I have known these being slightly difficult.

Like Paul, I have never used anything, especially as I routinely (once a year) remove the drums to inspect the shoes for wear during the service. Never had an issue.

I put a very thin smear of copper ease on the surface of the hub - care not too much or it may drift on to the linings. I do an annual check as well before the MOT.
