MG MGA - wind blocker

Got my new wind blocker from Moss today. Now for the question on mounting. The two mounting brackets that fasten to the same threaded holes for the top frame are angled in such a way that they interfere (touch) with the rear corner bracket and also touch the mounting stud for the stowage bag. So, do I use spacers and move the brackets out or do I bend the brackets to be perpendicular to the horizontal. What do I need to do please.. As always Thanks ahead of time. Mike
