Steve, does it have modification compliance plate fitted?? If not it won't be able to be registered/driven in Qld or NSW without one for the suspension and brake modifications (definite requirement in Qld)...and possibly the engine. regards mark |

Mark i have paperwork here.which is an engineers report from melbourne and adelaide to prove its worth also it did a road test at AIR(Braking and lane changing test) and the Transport SA dept inspected it and gave its seal of approval so it a legitimate car Steve |

Hi Steve, I am very sad to hear that you are leaving the brethren of us crazy V8 owners. And for an MGF(!! are you crazy?). By the way, I am interested to know a little more about your front disc conversion. I think that we communicated to a fellow V8er about it some time ago. If I am correct, did you get it from mg workshops? The disc is from a Nissan 300zx, is this the old style(like the 280zx) or the current shape 300zx. Also, is it from a turbo or normally aspirated? I assume that they bolt on with spacers, are you able to tell me any thing about them, i.e. thickness, any other relevant sizings, bolt length etc. I assume also that the disc bolts into the spacer only or does it bolt through the spacer into the hub? Lots of questions, but if you are able to give me any info,it would be very useful. Many thanks in advance, David PS; Perhaps you could by yourself a late 70's rubber bumper model. Easy conversion and more creature comforts. I am sure that this would cure the rare tropical fever that make you yern for an MGF. |

For David yes the Front Disc Conversion was from MG Workshops im sure the Dics are the old 300xz rotors not the new ones, i think they are bigger in diameter coz i have wire wheels they used a spacer directly onto the new disc will check the length etc etc when my car is back from having panhard rod measured up for it David heres one for ya im having thoughts about converting a rubbernose GT sans bummpers, sebring flares all round, with warm 3.9 with a supercharger and Supra 6!! Speed gbox is that crazy thinking or is it possible.. ill getone of these built instead of buying an MGF Steve (wants to sell car but has Little Car Big V8 Noise syndrome) |
