MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Question for Bill Young?

Bill:

On your V6 conversion, what is the relationship between the starter and the passenger side frame rail? I am still trying to get this thing mounted far enough back and low enough to avoid a hood bulge. My 2.8 came without a starter and it would seem that it wants to sit right on top of the framerail; limiting how low I can place the engine.

The starter does indeed sit just above the frame rail on a midget. I have about 1/2" of clearance between the starter and rail. This puts the bottom of the oil pan even with the bottom of the rail which is where the original engine's pan was located. E-mail me directly for more information.
