MG MGB Technical - Clutch release bearing advice needed

Hi all,
I am about to fit a new clutch and was wondering if anybody has experiences with "roller release bearing" instead of the classic graphite ones.
Thanks for your advice
Joern-M

The roller release bearings seem to get a bad press here as it seems they become noisy within a short time. The carbon thrust race is a perfectly serviceable item and should last for 100,000 miles provided that you are not in the habit of riding the clutch or other bad procedures.

As Iain says, no problem with carbon.

Having said that, I did have an issue with a new carbon bearing from M*ss for a midget. The dimensions were all wrong.
