MG MGB Technical - Dashboards
Now that my '72 GT restoration is complete (except for a non-functioning overdrive), I've started restoring a '71 MGB. I have the correct "Abbington Pillow" dash for a '71 but would like to know if the mounting holes are spaced also for a '72 style dashboard? I'm a bit strange but I do enjoy having a glovebox. :^) Thanks, Dave |

I have a 1970 roadster. The pillow dash without a glovebox is similar to the gay fashion designer who doesn't include rear pockets in order to show off one's buns. I have two of the official side pockets plus a pair of after market door pockets. Better. |

Dave, The later dashes - all of them from 68-80 are interchangeable without mods to the car. The only issue will be the face vents will not work on an earlier car unless you cut the 2 holes into the fresh air plenum. Tom |

Dan,That put a serious dent in my manhood. I dont think I'll ever be able to look at my pillow dash the same way again. |

I heard that the Fab Five guys from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy have B's with pillow dashes. |
