MG MGB Technical - Fuel Pump won't run

I just finished installing a CD player in my 1980 MGB and now for some strange reason the fuel pump won't run. I removed the wire from the pump and checked it with my meter, no power. I ran a wire from the battery just to check the pump and it runs OK. I also installed speakers in the doors and the back if that means anything. I used the wiring from the old radio I removed.
Is there a fuse for the pump? Where is the power source?

PS
The engine runs fine with the temporary wire

Might have been oopsed loose when working behind the panel.

Hi there

I had the same sort of probelm i installed a New Head unit which was drawing too much power from the old wiring and the Alternator and the Fuel Pump used to slow or not work at all if the music was on loud i got round this by instaling the Uprated Alternaor and rewiring the head unit and speakers this then worked fine.

Hi,
Checked the archives and found information I needed should have done that first OOPS. I accidentaly unpluged the wire from the inertia switch under the Steering column cover/Fascia.sp?
It was interesting to find out that this wire was not fused and that it also was powering the Overdrive.
It's fused now !!!. I found the wire inside the Bonnet/hood on the right hand side and fused it there, 15Amp baynot fuse holder used, it's the white wire, One into Two.
