MG MGB Technical - Horn Switch

My '66 B's horn switch is missing the connection wire (et al) from the steering wheel hub to the harness behind the dash. The PO installed a push button switch in the O/D switch location on the dash. The horns are operative, I just want to relocate the button to the steering wheel.
How is the purple with black wire routed to the horn button?
Steve

Steve - The purple/black wire should go through the harness for the turn signal switch and connects to a spring contace that rides on an insulated collar around the steering column. This collar is connected by a wire to the denter contact for the horn push in the center of the steering wheel, the push providing a ground when it is pressed down. If you will send me your e-mail address, I'll send you some pictures that show how that all goes together. Cheers - Dave
