For those out there who may be offended by the word CHRISTmas, here is a politically correct seasons greetings:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all ...and a fiscally successful,personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great,(not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform,or sexual preference of the wishee.

- DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTABILITY -

(By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.)

Gary

Gary, I could take offense at that. It's summer here! I guess that's covered by the disclaimer though :)
Simon Jansen

An MG Christmas Carol
(Sung to the tune "Let it Snow")

Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
but the MG is so delightful,
And we all know it'll only go slow,
So, let it snow,
let it snow,
let it snow!

Oh, it doesn't show signs of starting,
and the SUs they are a poppin,
and the alternator light is starting to glow,
So, let it snow,
let it snow,
let it snow!

Oh, the top has starting leaking,
and the oil pressure isn't peaking,
DAMN, why won't it go!
Let it snow,
let it snow,
let it snow!

Oh, I can't get this *%$##$!! steering wheel off,
and the exhaust, it's making me cough!
Now I'll never get her to the show!
Let it snow,
let it snow,
let it snow!

Oh, the tranny rebuild will take a while,
and the Prince of Darkness is starting to smile,
This restoration is using all my dough,
Let it snow,
let it snow,
let it snow!

Oh, the lever arms are all busted,
and the body, it's really rusted,
WHY, OH WHY did I let my BMW go?!
LET IT SNOW
LET IT SNOW
LET IT SNOW

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays, are a safe New Year!
John

A very Merry Christmas to all. Yes, there I said it...........MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

It's been like that for over 2000 years!! If people don't like it or feel offence, go celebrate whatever occasion makes you happy.

I like Christmas and all that it means. How else can I justify asking for car parts and gift certificates for car parts without Christmas?

Have a safe and happy holiday. Here's to lots of fun and adventures with our LBC's in 2006!

Maybe we should have a challenge to see who can put the most miles on in the next year?? On January 1st, post your mileage and this time next year we'll pull up this thread in the archives and see what we come up with.

All the best!
