MG MGB Technical - MGB gearboxes
I have a 1969 MGB 4-syncro gearbox and also a similar gearbox with overdrive. The first was taken out to fit a 5-speed box, the o/d gearbox taken out to lighten a B for racing. I have advertised them without success but am reluctant to dump them because both are in good condition. Does anyone want either of them for use or simply for educational purposes ? Available to collect from Stone in Staffordshire |

If you could ship it here, I'd take the OD gearbox in a heartbeat! ;) |

It would almost be worth the airfare from the states to pick it up and bring it back as carry on luggage. Charley |

Mr Homer, If you still have the gearboxes, I would like to take you up on the offer of the OD one. I hope to be in Yarnfield just after the Christmas holidays and could collect at that time. If you could leave a telephone number or email address, I'll get in contact. Best regards Jim |

If Jim doesn't have the O/D 'box from you, I would also be interested. Also, the non-O/D 'box may be a useful source of spares, so I would be interested in that and could pick it up if passing on the M6 or A34 at some point. If it were both gearboxes, I would be prepared to make a trip out, but obviously defer to Jim (previous post) as he was there first. Regards Dave daveo138 (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk |
