MG MGB Technical - Old Cam?
Ok, so I bought an air conditioner for a 73 BGT mainly for the evaporator (now I have several). The owner didn't feel like removing the unit(understandably) so I ended up with a really good 73GT body (original Blk toolip) for the price of the air conditioner. Car was last registered in AL in 88. The carbs were missing on account of the usual "shop went out of business" and they lost the carbs. Towed it home, rummaged in the boxes and put on a pair of HIF's that had been desmogged somewhere in the past. Put em on, new fuel pump, scour the points, new battery, empty fuel tank, turn key and vroom but anemic until the water was pumped out of 2,3, sigh, again. Oil pressure idle at 40, 3k at 60. I have a couple of heads ready any way so no problem. So, there is a sticker on the valve cover that says "Web-Cams performance". Does anybody have an idea what options the cam might contain so I can get an idea what to do with the rest of it. Thanks to all, jim |

Could be almost anything. Check out their "standard" cam grinds here: http://www.webcaminc.com/mga-mgb-auto.html Regards, Jerry |

Jim, It's probably just a Webcam camshaft. You can get information about them on their website. They do list some applications for MG's http://www.webcaminc.com/main.html Hope this helps. Clifton |

Thanks guys! For some reason when I tried a search their site didn't show up. I must be search challenged. Jim |
