Replace it with one from a mid 60's Chevy. They hook right up, are heavier so they last longer and you can hear them. |

Go to Pep Boys or Allied Auto parts stores and look in their catalog , it's a regular item but only Allied stocks it . it's listed as an " extra load turn signal flasher " I found it looking through the catalog a few years ago , lots of old folks use them . I _think_ it's in the " Ideal " brand . Sorry I don't have the part # . -Nate |

I too have this problem- in my case it is caused by a combination of quiet blinker, progresive loss of hearing, noisy engine/muffler and poor visibility of the green arrows. The green arrow bezels are delightful and extremely aesthetic, but extremely impractical unless you do all your driving at night. Sun anywhere on the scene and hood down and you can forget it. At one point I was thinking of wiring in a speaker a Radio Shack mini amp to warn me of the blinkers, which don't self-cancel as well as they once may have. I too will look around for the trailer load flasher. Ken R |

Connect a simple 12v buzzer across the two terminals of the turn flasher. |
