MG MGB Technical - Weak Brakes

I just redid the brakes on my 74 BGT (new pads, calipers, master cylinder, cylinders, shoes, hoses, and disks) and they seem weak (in comparison to my 67 RDSTR and previous cars.) Cannot lock the brakes no matter how I try. Pedal seems firm but ... any suggestions. Bleeding seems good no air.

Did you remove the protective coating from the discs before installing them? They may just need to seat themselves in. Go drive casually around for a while and do not attempt to lock them until they are seated.
