MG MGB Technical - wideband a/f-meters for tuning - which one?

Advice needed:
I'm thinking of buying a lambda or afr gauge, because:

I think I need way more throttle to sustain normal cruising speed than before and I'm out of ideas what to check (ignition hardware ok, advance ok, compression ok, carburetters new and set, fuel pressure regulator fitted, exhaust not clogged, stock exhaust refitted, stock air filters refitted, ...)
It would not only provide a neat gadget (I sorta love add-on gauges), but may help me in finding the correct needles for the peco exhaust and the K&N filters.
Also, it would give me peace of mind that my mixture is correct.

Reading about the whole thing, it seems to me that wideband meters are far superior over the normal, narrowband switching type stuff as seen from almost any gauge manufacturer.

I sort of narrowed it down to two products:
The LM-1 from innovatemotorsports.com
or the AEM UEGO Gauge as seen on autocarsports.com

The AEM sports neat looks and an all-in-one design, however, you can put an add-on gauge on the LM-1 and it seems to provide better upgrades.

Any input if it's a worthwhile investment and other advice, especially experience welcome,
Jochen

Jochen I have a PLX wide band A/F and I/m happy with it. My read out is in the end of the unit and digitel,so the numbers change very fast which can be distracting and make you think the mixture is changing faster than it is. To overcome this I taped over the second decimal point and it made all the difference.
I just got an update from them and they now have a round dash gauge as well, which would fit better.
Whatever you get make sure it uses the Bosch O/S as it is MUCH cheaper to replace. I leave mine in the car all the time and has given no trouble and is visible in any light. My car is supercharged and it has made getting the mixture right a lot easier. The next model up on mine can down load into a laptop if thats your thing but I just wanted to read on the spot and there is no delay in the readout. Its made in the US but I had no trouble getting it in OZ.
All the best Denis
