MG MGB Technical - Wilwood Brake Kits

Thinking of upgrading the brakes on my B for trackdays etc. Have seen the Wilwood 4 pot caliper and vented rotor kit from Cambrdge Motorsport which seems good. Has any used this? If so how does it go? Worthwhile upgrade? According to them it should fit under 14" miniites - any one have this combination? I am hoping to improve both braking power and fade resistance. If anyone is using this did you also change the master cylinder and did you use a proportioning valve or balance bar. Any comments welcome.

I already have good standard rotors, race pads, fluid etc but would like a bit more.

The other option is a kit here in Oz that uses Volvo 4 pot calipers and Nissan discs. Trying to decide whch to use and find out which may fit under my current wheels.

Thanks in advance.

Brakes on a race car? I thought race cars only had a 'go' pedal! :)

Grant,

any more info about the volvo calipers and the nissan discs: which car are they from?
Joern-M.

Joern

The calipers are (i think) from a 240 model volvo. The mounting holes are plugged and redrilled as they are about 5mm out. The discs I believe are from a Nissan 300ZX (the 80s model). Not sure about the need for spacers etc. There is a fellwo by the name of Peter on the V8 board who has this kit on his V8 conversion, perhaps he can give some more info.

Cheers
Grant
