MG MGF Technical - FUEL CUT OUT ON STARTING

On two occassion this week my mgf has cut out on starting. The car starts as normal, then either cuts out after ticking over on 1000 revs for a few seconds, or when I engage the throttle. It varies between 1 to 3 hours to get it started. The fault is itermitent and has not occured the last two days, but has today.
I have replaced the ambient air temperature sensor, which flag up when a notebook was attached to my ecu.
This still hasn't cured it, in the afternoon heat the
problem returned.
I think the fault could be either my fuel pump relay or my clifford alarm system.

Should the fuel pump make a noise when key is turned
mine doesn't

Can anyone help please??????????????????????????????
