MG MGF Technical - TF115 and fog lamps

How to install fog lamps on the TF115?
I need to install cable too.
Can you suggest me about how to do it? by where cable have to be passed?

Thanks

Youve just missed a thread on this. Try looking through the archive. To recap you need to buy the kit from your MG dealer. It comes with wire, relays, lamps and switch. You will also need the fitting insructions because some of the wiring is tricky. The instructions say to remove the front bumper, but I didn't, I was able to get at everything from underneath, the whole job took only just over an hour. The cost of everything was £125. Mike Satur does the kit for £140 by mail order. Why not e-mail him, see if you can get him to drop the price a bit.

There is no complete kit with one only part number as for earlier MK1 or MK2 MGF.
Parts need to be ordered at MGR with several individual P/N.
Much easier to order from after market suppliers.
The wiring gets passed in the same way as at MGF.

Regarding the old kit with cut hole you find some pix here and the instruction manual pdf as well. Leave out the hole term and it will work for mgtf.

I have just added pix of a MGTF front fog set supplied by MS in December.

btw, I still miss an answer whether the clear front fog light covers are the same as MGF ?

Hi

Dieter provided me with MGF instructions to do the job.

The wiring loom is the same and all the holes are there (you have to cut metal and plastic on the MGF but not the MGTF).

You do have to remove the front bumper though. It is possible to do without removing the bumper I suppose but you'll probably lose some skin (and a lot of patience) trying to tighten screws through tiny gaps! Once you know where ro make the connections on the fuse box it's an fairly easy wiring job. Re-tightening the screws for the bumper to the wing panels can be a bit of a pain though.

Best of luck.
