MG MGF Technical - Where to place wire for external thermometer?

Hi all!

This isn't very technical at all, but I thought I might post it here anyway.

I'd like place a thermometer inside my MGF. One that shows both inside and outside temperatures. Now, the sensor for the outside temperature is on a 3 meter/9 ft long wire that should be pulled to the outside of the car somewhere.

I've tried to find a way (along with the other wiring) from the compartments between the seats to the front of the car, ie beneath the hood. I don't want to have to drill any extra holes of course.

Has anybody done this? What's the best path?

Regards,
Svante

Hi Svante,
One populare unit for sale in Sweden fits nicely behind the "flap" on the facia. (The one supposed for coins etc.) By cutting the cable and then make a connection again after letting the thin cable thru a 3 mm invisible hole in the lower left corner it will look really nice. My sensor is at the lower left of the front ,the sensor is a small thingy fastend by adhesive tape. In this way the thermometer will be visible whenever needed - otherwise nicely unsightly behind the flip.

Regards , Carl.
