MG TD TF 1500 - Another (NOT) Mark II on eBay

400538778345 That makes two in less than 2 weeks. When will owners learn?

In addition to being a MKIi (NOT) it also has the original black vinyl top, tonneau, red faded carpet, tacky home made vinyl door panels AND black vinyl seats!
Another case of clueless seller.
At least it is not a Volkswagen.

Understand the issue over TD2 vs TD Mark 2, but without a reserve or minimum, someone could end up with a decent car. Has issues, but no more than many.

I'm with Bruce ...if that doesn't go much over the $7500 it is at right now wouldn't take a lot of sorting to make a very nice car.
Anybody else notice the chrome rear bumper supports?
Never seen that done before.

I wrote the seller when it was first listed, and his complete answer was "Thanks." He then changed the ad to include more numbers, and describes it as "the real deal!" without saying it isn't a Mark II. Someone else wrote later and he lamely answered, "Oh sorry - you might be right."

But it's still listed and described as a Mark II.

Well at least he put that up on the listing!
Better than some that just ignore the info.
Not sure ...but I don't think you can change the "heading description" on fleabay once you have a bid.

Seller has added a correction at the bottom of the listing indicating that it's not a Mark II.

Hopefully, the seller is just clueless, but honest.

clueless, but honest is my guess on this one.

Up to $11,200 with 2 days to go!

Looks like a nice little driver. Seller made a mistake and corrected it in calling it a Mark II.
It could go for a couple thousand more and still be a reasonable deal. For someone who wants one that isn't for the show circuit and just a fun little car, it looks like just the ticket.

We have a "Mark II" for sale here in Rockburn. The car is lovely, but still a daily summer driver with 4.3 cwp etc.

TD19140 is badged as a Mark II. It has dual fuel pumps and fuel lines, but that's where it stops. He is not representing the car as a Mark II, but when interested parties look at the car, they immediately assume it to be legitimate Mark II.
