MG TD TF 1500 - assembly blues 2

So, this was in my bag of "steering wheel parts". I can't remember where it goes. It is about 1" in diameter and 5/8" long.

Ideas?

Dave, it appears to be the 'Distance Tube Column Adjustment' Illus. #52, Plate C of AKD834, Service Parts List. I don't see it in Moss' catalog, but it's in Abingdon Spares, Page 23, Item #52.
